MaxEmail offers fax and voicemail services with the ability to deliver to up to 20 different email addresses.
Feature Set:
MaxEmail is one of the few fax services that offers a voicemail option along with their fax service. This service supports the ability to send and receive faxes via email or through their web interface. Faxes are delivered as PDF or TIFF attachments and voicemails as WAV or RA file. The basic service includes 200 free inbound faxes or voicemails per month.
They offer unique numbers and toll free numbers to over 150 area codes that can be configured for faxes, voicemails or both. MaxEmail also offers broadcast and list management options.
Unfortunately, the basic service charges for every outbound fax and does not support the ability to schedule when a fax is to be sent.
Ease of Use:
MaxEmail is very simple to use, with this program you are able to fax to an email account, email a fax, receive a voicemail or make a fax broadcast. When you are choosing to send a fax through your email all you need to do is fill out your email with the fax number in the To field, attach your fax and then send it off. Receiving a fax from an email account is just as simple, you just open the attachment, which is the fax simple.
Customer Service:
This service provides telephone, fax and email support. We received an answer to our email within 3 hours and they responded to all of our questions without giving us a sales pitch. To improve a little on their customer service, they could add live chat, 24/7 customer support and some sort of user guide.
Price/Extra Costs:
The prices of MaxEmail are similar to some of the other faxing services that we reviewed at $8.95 per month along with a $10.00 setup fee. Besides the 200 free faxes that you receive a month, they charge 10 cents for each fax sent and 5 cents for each received. Toll free faxes always carry a 10-cent/ea fee.
Summary:
This service is evenly comparable to most services; however, they do offer a fax/voicemail service that could be a useful combination if you need those services.
