MyFax out-performs the competition by offering almost every feature we looked for including a high level of compatibility with most Windows-based web browsers, email clients and file formats.

MyFax works with Internet Explorer, Netscape and Mozilla Firefox. This service supports 178 file formats including Adobe, Corel, Lotus, Microsoft products, Mac PICT and MacPaint. MyFax also supplies a free MyFax plug-in for use with Microsoft Outlook.

With MyFax, you can send documents to up to nine recipients at a time. With the basic, ten dollar per month plan you can send faxes from up to 5 email addresses. MyFax works with Gmail, Yahoo mail, Hotmail, and most Windows-based email clients. They offer several account management features including password protection and realtime reporting. The basic service supports up to 100 outbound and 200 inbound fax pages before additional fees apply -- ten cents per extra fax sent/received.

MyFax includes local numbers for about 30 states in the USA, mostly in large metropolitan areas. Those in less populated areas can use their toll free numbers at no extra charge. If you want a MyFax will also provide cell phone notifications if you are out of town. This service also accommodates those that need a high level of security with SSL encryption and additional data encryption methods.

MyFax also works with any fax machine, so there's no need to worry about hardware compatibility, and just like standard faxing, MyFax will automatically resend faxes that didn't get through, and provide delivery confirmation when faxes are delivered. You can schedule when faxes are sent, and MyFax works hard to identify and control spam faxes.

If your sales force or support organization uses ACT! customer management software, MyFax integrates seamlessly so everything customer-related is truly handled by one program. Another feature that impressed us was the ability to use MyFax from handheld devices like BlackBerryPDAs/Smartphones and the Palm Treo line of products. Other smartphones work with MyFax, as long as you can access the internet and your email with it. MyFax converts paper faxes to standardTIF or PDF electronic documents. For devices without TIF or PDF viewers, MyFax works with software such as the award-winning Documents to Go® by DataViz.

Ease of Use:  

Sending and receiving faxes through MyFax is as simple as sending an email. The service converts the body of the email to a cover letter. Incoming faxes arrive as an email with an attachment.
