Send2Fax is a flexible service that supports a variety of file and image formats. They also offer several different security and service options, including HIPPA compliant fax ability and broadcasting.
They do not however offer a competitive storage option and their basic plan only includes 100 send/receive combined faxes per month.
Feature Set:
Send2Fax provides most standard features such as the ability to send/receive faxes through an email or through their web interface. They also support a variety of formats including Adobe, Microsoft and WordPerfect as well as HTML, plain text, MDI and MODI. Send2Fax can transfer four image types – TIF, JPG, GIF and PNG.
This service also supports a security level that is HIPPA compliant. They offer several service plans including a broadcast option. The only things that this service does not offer are the ability to select a vanity fax number and add signatures to faxes.
Ease of Use:
Send2Fax is easy to use, it is just like using an email account or you can login to their website to send faxes. Every feature is simple to use.
Customer Service:
Send2Fax offers email and toll free telephone support. They also publish helpful FAQ pages. They replied to our email inquiry within an hour and a half, which is an excellent response time. However, it would be nice to get instant answers through a chat service, which they do not offer.
Price/Extra Costs:
This faxing service has one of the cheapest monthly fees around; all you pay is $7.95 per month and they do not require a setup fee. This service provides 100 free send/receive faxes per month and charges 10 cents per fax after that. They only other cost that may incur is if you choose to have them store your faxes for 90 days and this service requires an extra $3.00 per month.
Summary:
Send2Fax’s basics service is competitively priced and is a good option for those that do not need more than 100 send/receives per month. However, if you need a better storage option you may want to look at some other options, for example FaxFreedom offers a comparable basic service but can store an unlimited amount of faxes for up to a year.
